We have had so many requests for a "portal" that we have decided instead of making a custom portal for everyones site, we would develop a portal module that could be added to a WowUltra board and would work for everyone!
If anyone doesn't know what a portal is please go to http://aurorawheelers.com and look at the entry page, it is a prototype of our style of portal bravely being tested by the admin of that site.
Since a portal page isn't for everyone and because of the intensity of the construction and the time it is taking to complete it will not be included in future releases of WowUltra but will be sold separately as a modification or module.
Please welcome UltraPortal V1 to our collection of enhancements.
UltraPortal V1 will have at least these features:
- Will follow the style of any theme written by an authorized theme developer
- Will be configurable to 1, 2 or 3 columns in the admin panel (similar to the current menu routine)
- Content will be editable in the admin panel, custom editor like the side box editor in 1.15
- You can disable it in the admin panel
- No need to put your board in a separate folder to add a home page, portal shows up first if turned on
- Recent topics from the forum can be shown on the portal page
A board with UltraPortal installed will be serviced and upgraded by us just like a regular WowUltra board.
