i just downloaded and installed FF 3.0 about 1 minute ago. the installation, it literally took less than 10 seconds to install. as soon as i clicked install now, it was done. i was a little surprised.

now i'm to test it out. all the reviews i've read are raving about it, among other things like highly improved security to innovative bookmarking and addy bar, they say the speed is well above any browser out there and on the whole the best web experience these reviewers have ever had.

they also say just about all the memory leaks FF used to have are gone and you can surf with tons of open tabs without suffering performance loss.

all in all they say Mozilla has out done themselves.

Edit- man i am zipping through this site, so far the speed is a little shocking, lets see if it holds up.

oh my god this is really surprising me, believe me i'm not gevin to being a fanboy of anything lightly, but so far FF is shocking the beejezus out of me.

i just zipped through youtube like a hot knife through butter, the pages loaded and with the videos hitting the ground running., not the slightest pause for the vid to buffer or anything, and i'm already loving the "most visted" tab on my favorites bar.

with only one tab open memory is at about 41,000k which seems on par with 2.0.

i look forward to working it over over the next few days to see how it stands up, i typically leave my comp and browser on and open indefinitely so i'll see how the memory usage builds up.

right now, off the bat, i'm loving it.

here it is wing http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
yes it does seem to work better and much faster on all sites.

i recommend giving it go. and it seems spell check is turned on automatically.

peoples if you not using FF 3.0 you are missing out on some serious coolness.

really, so far its been outstanding. you hear things like "its really fast" all the time about whatever, but then your never really blown away by it. you will be with 3.0

i was expecting hype, but it wasn't.  it really is a noticeable difference.

IE7 is in serious trouble.  i predict FF will surpass IE within 5 years and kill it within ten, if FF keeps up what they've done with 3.0

I downloaded it tonight and it is very fast. Still things I don't like about it, but it makes IE7 look like a snail.

the speed was surprising wasn't it? even though you were expecting it from what you read.

Yes it's even faster than version 2.0, which in itself was very brisk on some slow forums that I visit.

We use FF on our IMac...

altho i dont use the IMac much...its mainly for Nascar races...

the times that i have used FF i have to say i do like it really well...

Paul uses FF on his work computers... he really likes FF

maybe i need to give it a whirl on my puter...

knew there was something i was missing...

i dont use it all the time but sometimes and i like it when i want/need it and that's spell check and with FF it doesnt come up on the reply pages...

thats was the only downfall i see at this point...

Even the greatest humans have their flaws I see.

Then again if it wasn't for her using IE7 I wouldn't catch half the stuff I do that don't work in IE7. You wouldn't believe how many "little things" I have had to code in just because of IE.
