Well alrighty then....

I used firefox in the past, and for some reason that I can not recall stopped. I just put this new version on and have been using it for the past few hours and so far I like it.

I installed the weather plug in and it is very cool and very useful.

Thanks for posting this!

i just added the ad block ad-on and i love it. nothing but content, all those annoying ads that run up and down the left and right side of a page are gone.

more and more sites, especially big sites are jam packing their pages with ads that are a real nuisance, many times they are loaded before the content which means if the ad server hangs your staring at a blank page for who knows how long, sometimes you just have to leave the page.

this really helps me because i access my yahoo mail dozens of times a day and they have really become aggressive with ads,  as well as browse Google headline news just as often  so i visit many major news sites.
this makes it so much easier.

Testing posting in FF3.

Nice to finally have a cursor. Hey spell check is on too, maybe I won't have to re write the text editors!

I noticed that too. It seems it does not recognize any word with an apostrophe.

I don't like how much memory FF3 takes up. The only downside.

I haven't really noticed it Mat. But I suppose FF3 does a lot of new stuff that needs memory, I like being able to adjust the font type and size globally.

I'm finding a couple bugs. First the apostrophe thing which might be a coordination between FF and the fine text editor because it doesn't happen in quick reply.

Also if you have saved locations on the tool bar sometimes a right click has the first four options greyed out.

AND the mru list is screwy and confusing, and there doesn't seem to be a "go to" arrow any more, you have to hit enter unless I'm missing something. One of the things I don't like about opera and ie7. Arrrrgh

you mean an arrow at the end of the addy bar? if so there's one in mine.

Hi Jim,

The star means that the page in the address bar is already displayed. As soon as there is a difference between the page being displayed and the address showing, the goto arrow appears instead. See attached.

But who needs an arrow, when all you need to do is tap the Enter key?

regards,

Martin.
