I've got a question about emoticons. I have too many and want to prune some, but I know they will already have been used in tons of posts and I'd prefer to avoid the dreaded red X after I delete them. Is it possible to run an SQL query to delete an emoticon and all the footprints it leaves in posts, ie the red X?

I've tried overwriting silly ones with better ones using the originals name, but now I just want to get rid of a good few.

It should just be replaced with the text for it. For example if you delete the :) icon it should be replaced with the actual colon and closing parenthesis.
