 Okay, let's try again!  This started happening almost right away, but only for one or two people, so I thought it was their computers.  Now it is like this for everyone.  I use Firefox for Mac, and instead of red X's, I just get words.  This screen shot is from one of the admin, who uses IE.  I can't figure out how to do a screen shot on my computer.  LOL

 OK I figured it out. Evidently you had some emoticons stored in the old "default" theme folder on the wowbb server... most unusual.

Anyhow you are in luck. Don't do anything yet OK? I got the smilies off the wow server for backup but had no idea they were in there being that is a really odd spot.

First time this has come across the screen!

 Should work now.

Note to public: this was not a "bug" and there have been no bugs found in the emoticon system in this release :)

That's because I found instructions for uploading emoticons (from the no longer existant wowBB public forum) that told me to do it that way.  It was much easier than trying to do it through the CPanel! :)

 That is a neat feature Di. I hadn't noticed that before you mentioned it. Probably because I leave the emoticons to one of the others to do.

Hi Jim,

I think the reason is that many of us arrived here not so much looking for a new features, as seeking an escape route from WowBB. The new features were just a bonus, and we didn't take much notice.

I think we will be looking more closely next time. :)

 It's an admin option, the admin has the shades choices. Doing it the other way would require adding a field to the user table in the database which isn't out of the question. Actually sounds like a good idea, I believe my better half has mentioned that a couple times.

 OK, I give up. I have been to the Admin panel and clicked on General Settings then style and then Shades but I don't see where there is a choice of Shade, certainly nothing like the picture that is shown here http://wowultra.com/features.php where it says Shade of Shades.
