This has been tested to death! 1. All forums and subs follow individual forum permissions independently. 2. If a parent happens to be hidden, any visible subs will show as regular forums. 3. If all subs of a forum are hidden the parent appears as a regular forum. 4. The absolute last post from parent and visible subs will be shown in the right column. 5. A parent forum icon stays at the top of the cell. All others float. 6. If you happen to make an error in the subforum tab (accidentially assigning subs to subs) just save again and it will automatically rearrange forums, parents and subs to the most logical forum order. 7. In the regular forum tab the subforum status is shown but not editable. If you put a sub above a parent in forum order it will re arrange it's self to where it belongs upon saving. Hope that works better for everyone, there were a few that did experience mild problems with the last version but it was tracked down to the "up and down" routine in the forum tab.... that's why subs got their own tab this time. Jim will the total post/topics numbers of all subs/parent be shown or just for the parent like it is now?

Hmmmm is that a desired effect? I mean anything is possible but right now it shows the main forum. Interesting. Is this how the other guys do it?

It could easily exhibit the posts/topics from the forum showing the last post. I'll try it and see how it plays.

actually Jim it would be great if it just showed a sum of all the subs and parent instead of the individual subs

I agree. That way smaller sized subs don't show numbers and people will look and be more likely to post. I'll post a feature that I would like regarding permissions for you to think about.
