It would be nice to be able to create new forums and set permissions for it with a forum that you want the same permissions. Like when you create a new user group, you select the permissions based on. So pretty much it makes it have same settings for each user group by selecting the forum to base it on. Also, it would be great to be able to create a forum and have the option to make it a sub when creating the actual forum instead of creating then making it a sub. I've done this on the site I put the sub mod on and saves time.

Create as a sub I did consider and I do think it is a good idea. The entire forum order reorganization/subforum tab thing I did ended up being 10 times as intense as I first thought so I concentrated on that. I didn't think about the permission thing though, I'll toss it around. I know that's how the older phpBB's did it and it was cool. I would like to be able to assign permissions per user also if needed that would override board permissions. Good stuff Mat, thank you. The gray hairs continue to grow!

Yeah, PhpBB's permission system is one of the only things I like about it. Very flexible and can have several things. I haven't seen the separate tab for subs. That's interesting but don't see how that would be convenient IMO. Do they show in the forums area as well? Can you do subs of sub forums? Something that shouldn't be it's own category but needs to be further organized? Is the trial 1.15? I'm going to set up trial to answer most of my questions here soon and purchase shortly after for theme work
