This is something that most other software already has. What it does is in the category name bar there would be a little icon that when clicked all the forums under that category would disappear. Some say it makes for less clutter. It would be a cookie and would remember it's setting per browser/computer even when logged out. I could make it enter to the database but I'm a query counter so I'm opting for cookie if it does happen. Personally I would never use it but some members have inquired about it and everyone else has it. Let us know please if you want to see it included in the next release of Ultra!

Yup, I use it  I think cookie is the way to go. Another script for the head area lol (just do me a favor in the next version and put all the scripts in a scripts folder inside the skin then just link to them from the header in the main template). It's getting really cluttered now hehe.

I don't know that it matters to me either way but members may have a different opinion. Not ever having it, I may use it or may not, just depends. How's that for fence sitting?

Here is my personal opinion. I would never ever ever use it. In fact, I think most forums might start using it, but then go away from it. We now have over 800 forums submitted to the biggest boards site. currently there are 224 sites submitted that have over 1 million posts and I do not think even one of them has that feature. i just think it is counter productive to your front page. Not everyone looks at the "Recent" or "New posts" depending on the software. Many users scroll down the front page for new posts. I don't know. I am rambling and guess i just dont like this feature at all, lol

I belong to several forums that have that feature and I dont use it. I really dont understand the need for it, I guess
