SWEET - I do this manually now with a PM that I have saved in my saved box. Each time someone joins (and I get my great email notification!!! ), I copy it and use it to PM the new person. the auto PM will be fantastic!

That's a good idea. I send a PM manually now, welcoming newbies and asking them to introduce themselves on the forum because I delete non posters (if they don't post within 24 hours) in case they are spammers. An automatic PM will save me some work.

Great as we don't allow new members PMs untill they have been with us a while as down here in Spain we have more trolls than world of warcraft who join just to spam members via PM

We have had so many people join lately on thebiggestboards.com that I can not wait for the auto PM feature. I keep sending them manually and it will be a joy to have it go automatically each time someone new joins!

There will be a PM and e-mail feature, both with admin controls. I have about a year of ideas I need to squeeze in to the next few weeks.

Welcome PM is huge. It allows you to direct members with links in a PM to a certain part of the site like rules, introductions, etc.
