I am sure I saw a way to limit the time lapse for members to edit their posts but I can't find it again  :?   can someone show me the way please.  Also if I do put a time limit on it, will this apply to the admin as well?

Thanks
Mag

i'd like to suggest a modification for future versions where a member can have sort of a courtesy edit window of time where the "edited by....." doesn't appear. in other words the admin can set it at say 30 seconds and the full edit time to be 5 minutes, so the edit line won't appear unless 30 seconds have elapsed.

i dislike the "edited by" line but understand it is very important and can't be done away with, but its unsightly, someone should be given a chance to correct a silly typo without having mar the post.

I've seen it where the "Edited by" only displays if someone replied to the post and then you make a change.

The default for this in Ultra is off. You only check it if you want it in there.

OK not a bug. I see what it is doing, the formula is if you are a moderator of that forum or a supermod or admin you can see the check box. If not you can't.

I'll ponder over the logic and probably remove it. If you care what is edited as an admin you can exclude that group from editing at all. BUT just in case there is a deeper logic I have to ponder.

Thank you all for pointing out this...eh...er.. feature.
