I've inserted buttons with links into the top of the Ultra, Beige, Shades etc. Themes by inserting the code in the main_menu 1 and main menu_2 templates in the admin panel, same as I did in WOW. But when I try this in the aiblue and mystic themes there are no main_menu 1 or main menu_2 templates listed. Are they somewhere else?

I know it's not in AI but it should be in Mystic. I'm in the middle of an install, I'll look at it right afterward and put it in there. :)

hi hyper, if you mean that you couldn't locate menu1 and 2, look in your theme folder (the folder that holds all your themes, not the actual theme's folder)  for a file called "dependent_main_templates.txt" that is where the menus you seek are.

General TIP: anytime your theme is missing a template that should be there, then the theme is calling that template from "dependent_main_templates.txt" located inside your theme folder*.

*  "theme folder" refers to the folder that contains all the themes.

Actually Bout, I took the first two out and put them in the dependent file for the multiple menu mod thinking "they will only have to edit one file for all themes" not thinking that some people use the theme editor and wouldn't be able to get to it.

It only applied to sea, AIblue and shades of shades which still draw from a common template. I really wish I wouldn't have done the common template thing now in general.

ah i see, those are the only stock themes i have.

i think the same way, i automatically think people are editing the file directly, i forget about the theme editor, i just about never use it.

Could you do it in a later version Jim? I'd say that 'buttons' question will be asked again in the future. In the meantime Bou's description of how to fix it will be helpful to other people.

All the other themes, Ultra and the extras we have created have the menu in there. I will change it in later releases, already planned. :)
