I have my board set so that unregistered users only see the side panels and a message about registering. The links in the RH panel are 'dead' to unregistered users, which is what I want but those in the LH panel are still 'live'. Can I do anything about this?

speaking of side box link issues, I currently have a member who clicks on a link in the right hand side box and sees only HTML code, not the intended page. I've had several other people test this and they can all see the page the way it should look. Any idea why?

Yes, but these are two separate problems. I'm working on Roberts problem, he put a lot of stuff in the side bar so I'm checking that first. ZT your problem is the actual page they are going to. I bet your member is using a different browser and one of the basic elements of the visited page is missing. IE and now FF will forgive a lot of html errors. What link is it?

Logged on this morning and lo and behold, all is fixed, again. There's something a bit creepy about this place when this kind of thing happens. Next thing you know the problem will be fixed before I get a chance to create it. Seriously though, I can't thank you enough Jim. I know I have a lot of information on that front page and I know the problem suddenly appeared so it must have been something I did. Can you give me a pointer so I don't do it again. Fortunately I am learning a lot of things on the practice forum which will help a lot when the real thing comes along.

Jim it seems that he was using Mozilla Firefox ? I had him try going to the page with IE and it shows up fine that way.. However, my stats show that Firefox is the second most used browser, so I am concerned that I maight be losing A LOT of members who can't get that page to function correctly.. the link is http://www.ztunlimitedforums.com/downloadsdatabase
